Land Management - Cover Crops

Cover Crops

We have all the necessary equipment to help you establish or re-establish cover crops on your farm or estate. We will work with your keeper to select the best positions for your cover crops.

We are also able to fence off your cover crops if required.

Weed Control

With our Mule mounted 200 litre tank and our handheld spray applicator we are able to apply selective weed killers in places that are very difficult to get to with a tractor mounted unit.

Please let us know what weeds are giving you the most trouble and we will let you know the best weed killers to be used.

We hold all the relevant licenses to apply weed killer.

Land Management - Fertiliser Application

Fertiliser Application

With our Mule mounted 200 litre tank and 6 metre spray boom we are able to apply selective weed killers in places that are very difficult to get to with a tractor mounted unit.

We hold all the relevant licenses to apply fertiliser.

Hedge Creation

To date we have planted over 58 miles of hedging in the counties that we operate. We know when is the optimum time of year to set out and plant new hedges and what plants will work the best for your particular soil type.

We can plant double or single hedgerows for you and we can plant trees down the middle of the hedge line if you wish.

Land Management - Woodland Creation

Woodland Creation & Annual Maintenance

Over the last couple of years we have planted over 25,000 trees on local estates helping them to create woodlands for the future.

We will discuss with you what type of trees that you wish to plant and then discuss the options for tubes and the appropriate tree density. Planting generally starts once the first frosts have arrived in the Autumn so the saplings are in a ‘dormant’ state.

Please note: we generally stop planting in April of each year as the ground has started to dry out too much making the survival of the trees less likely if planted any later.

Fencing – post & rail / stock fencing

We undertake stock fencing to protect new hedges or woods using traditional round posts and industry standard netting. We finish off our fences with a double of single layer of standard wire. We will suggest a specification for your requirements and agree these with you before we order any materials.

(Please note we prefer not to use barbed wire as we believe that it is not necessary in most cases but if you need it to be used we will of course install it.)
